CONCAST group has embarked upon plans to install " Integrated Steel Plant " to produce Steel Billets right from the Iron Ore. This would assist the group to have dynamic equilibrium with the market to enhance group turnover and profits.

In conjunction with State Government's plans, the group has acquired about 100 Acres of land at Bankura for setting up conglomerate of industries to fructify the plans.

CBIL is the first of the group's unit in Bankura to produce 200 TPD of Sponge Iron from the Iron Ore and local Coal. This Direct Reduction Process would enrich the Iron content of the Ore from 65% to about 85% at the lowest cost.

The Sponge Iron produced is readily marketable. However, in the CBIL the Sponge Iron with other ingredients shall produce Steel in the two 8.5 MT Induction Furnaces. The Molten Steel from the Induction Furnaces shall further produce 60000 MT per annum of Steel Billets continuously through Concaster.

This unit would also produce special steels for valuable customers.

The hot gases from DRI shall produce 4 MW of waste gas Power for captive consumption.
