CONCAST Group has made its first venture outside West Bengal. The unit is situated on the banks of perennial river Nagavalli at Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.

The assets of the erstwhile Midwest Iron and Steel Limited was taken over from the official liquidators of the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in August 2004. The unit was refurbished and the production commenced from March 2005 under the new name Dankuni Steels Limited - Unit : Concast Ferro Inc. The Unit is manufacturing 120000 TPA of Pig Iron from TATA KORF Technology designed Mini Blast Furnace. The company is consistently earning profits since inception.
