CONCAST BENGAL INDUSTRIES
LIMITED
is another
established venture of the
group that makes use of new
technologies to deliver
sound quality and
cost-effective 60000 TPA
steel billets and 200TPD
sponge iron. The
manufacturing base of the
group is at Junbedia in
Bankura. The company is
embarking in expansion of Rs
290 crores, comprising -
enhancing production of
sponge iron to 400TPD.

pre-melting, steel billets
production being increased
to 150000TPA, generating 30 MW electric power from
wasted hot gases and char,
installing on-line 440 TPD
re-rolling mill for
producing mild steel long
products.

DEVELOPMENT OF COAL MINE.

Industries Limited, the
main shareholder of M/s Bankura DRI Manufacturers
Co. Pvt. ltd. has been
allocated Biharnath Coal
Block at Raniganj, spread
over 10.5 sq Km has reserve of
95 million tones of 'B - G'
Grade Coal . The development
of coal mine is estimated at Rs 500 crore. Plans are
afoot to make it operational
by 2010.

Concast Group is involved in
advanced stage of
negotiation for acquiring
Coking Coal mines in
Australia. Current,
estimate for acquisition,
development and mining
rests $ 300 Million. At
present India has to depend
on China and Australia to
meet its coking coal requirements.

TRANSCON DISTILLERIES
PVT. LTD. : The Concast
group has planned to set up
the first grain based
distillery and brewery in
Panskura, West Bengal. The
unit is slated to be
operative by 2009.
